the queen of…
November 10, 2008
The queen of the stuffed animals…and they are her loyal subjects
What are you the queen of? What thing is yours, like it or not, the thing you own, your queendom? I’m pretty sure queendom isn’t even a word but it works huh?
I am the queen of…
buying and collecting boxes of thank you cards and never writing them…or writing them and then never sending them out
guerrilla goodness
picking every kind of produce the various farmers will allow (particularly berries of any kind) and way too much with out realizing it
grammatical errors
worrying there is something stuck in my teeth or visible boogers in my nose
having babies that fill their diapers exactly 3 seconds after I finish changing them
having a minor car accident every 3 years
making up words and trying to see if I can work them into real language (i.e. queendom)
never having wipes when I need them most
feeling the feelings in a room
being late to almost everything
cheering you up
creating a constant soundtrack of my life
eating way too much chocolate
family love
Tell me dear friends, what are the queen of? or king perhaps?

really fast knitting and crocheting
controlled messiness
accepting hand-me-downs of every type, size, shape…I stop short of taking toilets and used underwear
I’m sure there are many others but my husband isn’t here to remind me what they are
guess that’s another one….not paying enough attention to myself ๐

I am the queen of never remembering snacks for my preschooler. Why will I never learn that hungry kids are grumpy kids? ๐

I am the queen of procrastination, giving gifts that are out of my means, and being a push-over…these are the major ones at this time… ๐

love this exercise in self-evaluation!
I am the queen of connecting at the heart level with strangers (especially children — especially the grown kind), of gathering like-minded souls, of happily living alone (I NEVER thought that would be true!) and of allowing the truth to set me free.
peace & love

this is a good one! hmmm…
i am the queen of
sleeping through labor and waking up in full-throttle-oh-my-god-i’m-going-to-drop-a-baby-any-second-now labor
crying. i cry when i’m happy, sad, surprised, angry, excited, bored, melancholy–you name it, i’ll cry over it.
letting dirty dishes pile up in the sink
makeup, hair and body products. i mean REALLY. how much does one person need?! i’ve even been known to throw away expensive body lotion because–get this–it went BAD while i was trying to use up some OTHER expensive lotion.
why-i’m-annoyed-with-my-mother stories
wedding dresses. i own 4. used ONE. don’t ask.
starting books and never finishing them.
slapstick humor–the more juvenile, the better. america’s funniest home videos is like my favorite show.
having a messy car AND letting my tags expire
falling in love with republicans
never eating leftovers (and letting them rot in the fridge)
prophetic dreams
working hard for love
carrying undying awe and love of childbirth
knowing how to help people heal

oooo….this is a fun one.
i’m the queen of telling the truth of your very core, no matter how painful it is for you to hear. hello, someone’s got to tell you.
i’m the queen of getting shit done at work. got a problem, i can fix it.
and most, most, most of all, i am the queen of cats. well, two of them at least.
