backyard love…

September 22, 2011

I swear I am not a wedding photographer…Ashley and Mark had the sweetest backyard wedding complete with home brewed pomegranate beer and a taco truck, not to mention such deep love from friends, family and each other. A wedding photographer was not in the budget so I snapped just a few pictures while I was there. Thank you friends for including me on such an amazing day…it was beautiful in every way.

What a nice blog you have here:)

I’m curious about which camera and lens you’re using? The photos are very beautiful!

    All the best,

So Caroline, I have a very old (but very trusty) Canon 20D, and I almost always use a 50mm 1.4 lens. I process almost all of my pictures in Lightroom 2. I saved my pennies for the real deal camera this summer but alas, tumbles and turns in life are keeping me from buying it. It’s okay though, I’m still learning so much. I have been taking pictures for not quite 3 years. Are you in love with photography too?

Lovely photos. I especially like the one of the groom–you captured a wonderful moment. And the picture of the bride and her attendants–so honest in the emotion. The one of the old friends hands is so beautiful and that it is at a wedding is even more special.

These pics are lovely, especially the one of the bride waving to smiling well-wishers. 🙂

Lovely photos…love the way the groom is gazing at his bride. Last picture says it all. Picture perfect wedding projected lots of heartfelt affection and love in the most authentic of circumstances surrounded by flowers, family and friendship.
