I hear him from the other room…he tells her everyday, “I’m so glad you were born.”
Sometimes he whispers it, other times he presses his nose against hers, everyday of her life…
May every human know the love of someone being so glad they were born.

so wonderful. there may be nothing in the world that makes a woman’s heart swell like hearing one of her children tell another that they love them.

I think I remember seeing Jen write about this on her blog – how she always tells people that she was glad that they were born on their birthdays – am I remembering correctly? Josiah obviously understands the impact of this simple, yet powerful phrase. And, I have also said this recently to friends, on their birthdays, and…well, the message speaks for itself. thank you for sharing this. i will continue to also speak the message, “I am glad that you were born.” xo to you on this eve of the full moon.
